about kaji_____ i'll spare you the details about evangelion, because it's complicated enough as it is, and i don't want to spoil it. if you haven't seen eva, then i'll just tell you to go look up the DVDs because it's the best anime in the history of mankind and you don't know what you're missing. kaji ryouji (kaji is his family name) is a special inspector for an organization called nerv, which is where the plot of evangelion is pretty much developed. kaji was transferred from nerv's german branch to tokyo-3 in episode 8, and was in charge of the transport of the second children, sohryu asuka langley, to her new workplace. he used to be her guardian, and asuka has a huge crush on him. coming back to japan situates kaji among familiar faces, such as akagi ritsuko and katsuragi misato, both of whom he knew from college, misato being his girlfriend during that time as well. as for his work, well, to put it bluntly, kaji is a spy. not quite 007, though, kaji is a bit of an unkempt man, he has long hair, a perpetual 5-o'clock shadow and is quite the flirt. however, he's in a constant pursuit of truth-- and there IS a lot of shady business in nerv, as well in other related organizations such as seele. we learn pretty quickly that kaji is a triple agent, working for both of these organizations as well as for the japanese government. these three are on opposite sides of the balance and kaji is often put in the middle of all of this, but he manages to come out alright-- most of the time. i guess, when it comes to his employers, we're never really sure where his loyalties lie. however, when it all goes to hell (and it does, believe me-- you gotta see for yourselves if you haven't), we know that he really loved misato, despite all their fights, and his teasing and her denial. we know that he cared about shinji and asuka, and that over everything else, that he believed the light could overcome all the lies and deceit that was created around the eva project. about the fanlistings______ a fanlisting is, as described by its creator, janine, a "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject." in this case, it's a list of fans of ryouji kaji. for more information, just visit the website ^^ about "i spy"_____ the site was created by carla, and is part of the mighty network (*nudgenudge* please visit! ^.~ *nudgenudge*). it's done in tables and div layers, and should work for any resolution above 800x600. the images used for the layout come from the evangelion illustration book, "die sterne"-- they're all by the ever-wolderful sadamoto yoshiyuki. |
